ANNUAL ART COMPETITION

HICAP-UK through its project PATH-NEPAL runs an annual Art competition in 5 schools in the remote areas of Lamjung and Manang districts in Nepal. Every year we are receiving an overwhelming response to this competition. Participating schools are as follows:

1. Shree Jana Jagriti Primary School, Chyamche 2. Saraswoti Primary, Jagat 3. Bhanu Ma. Vi, Taal
4. Chandrodaya Ma. Vi., Bahundanda 5. Udipur Uchha Ma. Vi, Udipur

We arrange the competition by visiting the area in October/November and taking the materials to each school.
The drawings are collected between March and April and sent to the UK to be judged by a professional artist Barbara Freeman. Barbara has been so meticulous with the judging and we thank her for being available to us.

It is through art that we find our emotional and spiritual response to our lives, our dreams our past and our future and the place in which we live. The children have responded so well to this they have found a sense of pride
