Hi-Cap UK was set up in October 2005 by Freda Casagrande and received registration from the Charities Commission in July 2006. Freda was just any ordinary trekker 5 years ago. After visiting the Himalayan area of Mustang she returned to the UK with an urge to do something about the lives of the Himalayan families in the remotest areas and those smitten by circumstances due to severe illness. Since then she has managed to successfully set up a Children’s Home. We then negociated with the local community to continue with our work, we now give just minimal support. Not satisfied with that she has commenced the project PATH Practical Action To Help, and that is just what our project PATH is about.
